I tried this service for a day and tried to cancel as I found better apps at lower prices. The manage subscription button does not work in the app. To cancel your subscription and then account you have to reach out by email to Famio support. They then wait until the app has charged you the monthly fee of $29.99 to respond and cancel your subscription. Had I known this I would never had signed up to even try it out. This is a click to cancel issue that the FTC is actively working to combat but due to the terms, it’s not technically illegal at this time. They will not reimburse you. I will never use them again and strongly urge others to read up on this app before making a decision as you cannot easily back out if you decide it is not right for you.

I downloaded FAMIO expecting it to work as described, but the experience has been frustrating. After canceling my subscription through their customer service, I was still charged—twice the app’s amount! Even after multiple emails, I received no response, and the charges kept coming. This feels like a scam, as they continue to withdraw money without authorization. I have all the evidence and will be reporting this to Apple/Google Play for fraudulent practices. I strongly advise others to stay away from this app to avoid unnecessary stress and financial loss.
