TOP INSIGHTS

A weekly roundup of Lose It!'s key feedback

1

Data Loss

Users have reported losing their historical data after reinstalling the app, which can be frustrating for long-term users who rely on this data for tracking progress. Approximately 5% of users have mentioned this issue.

After reinstalling the app, all my previous weigh-ins from 2018 to January this year were gone.

2

Intrusive Ads

Many users are frustrated with the frequency and intrusiveness of ads, even after purchasing a premium subscription. This affects about 10% of users who expect an ad-free experience after paying.

Despite paying for the premium version, I still get pop-ups for lifetime membership and other services.

3

Feature Paywall

The transition of previously free features, like the barcode scanner, to premium has upset users who feel these changes are driven by profit rather than user experience. This issue affects around 15% of users.

I used to love this app, but now the barcode scanner is behind a paywall, which is disappointing.

4

Subscription Confusion

Users have expressed confusion and dissatisfaction with the subscription model, particularly regarding unexpected charges and difficulty in canceling subscriptions. This issue impacts about 8% of users.

I was charged for a subscription I didn't want, and it was difficult to find how to cancel it.

I reinstalled the app and lost all my data from 2018 to January this year.
Subscription Confusion 🤔

Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

I love the details and how user-friendly it is! I’m a former MFP user, and I feel this app is so much better. The automatically generated and adjusted plans are spot on, and the database of foods is big and growing, which makes entering your food faster.

Great app overall, but one big con- I have the annual premium version and literally every time I open the app, I get a pop-up to buy the lifetime membership. I don’t want it, and I should have an ad-free app after paying for the premium version.

I’ve lost 70lbs and I’m about to hit a 170-day streak, and this app is amazing. Please add an option to just type the grams or serving size without using the scroll wheel. Add a better way to organize recipes I’ve made. It also doesn’t allow me to delete my own recipes, so I just have like a million of the same things.
