TOP INSIGHTS

A weekly roundup of Publix's key feedback

1

Frequent Logouts

A significant number of users, approximately 20%, report being frequently logged out of the app, which disrupts their ability to use features like order placement and list creation. This issue is particularly frustrating as it requires repeated logins and often results in a non-functional app experience.

The app logs me out constantly, making it impossible to use any features.

2

Lack of Pricing

Around 15% of users express frustration over the app not displaying prices for most items, which hinders their ability to budget and compare costs effectively. This lack of transparency is a major inconvenience, especially when compared to competitors like Kroger.

I can't see prices for items, which makes it hard to plan my shopping on a budget.

3

No Landscape Mode

Approximately 10% of users, particularly those using iPads, are inconvenienced by the app's lack of landscape mode support. This limitation makes it difficult to use the app with a keyboard or when the device is docked, reducing its usability.

The app doesn't support landscape mode, making it hard to use on my iPad with a keyboard.

4

Order Ahead Issues

About 8% of users are frustrated with the inability to order ahead for deli items, which was previously a convenient feature. This change has led to dissatisfaction as it removes a significant time-saving aspect of the app.

I can't order deli items ahead anymore, which was a huge convenience.

I love the Publix app but recently the app will not let me do anything. It constantly logs me out. When I do log back in it won't let me look at anything. I click on the sales list and there is nothing there. Same in the coupons and I can’t add anything to my list. Can someone please fix this?

I very much love and also hate the Publix IOS app at the same time. I use the app almost daily to check weekly ads, specials and just to find where items are in the store. However, your app developers need to fix one issue that makes the Publix IOS just about the worst app I use. This app only works in portrait mode which makes it pretty useless for my iPad and keyboard. Can you have the IOS developers add landscape mode?

I lived in Florida most of my life and shopped and worked at Publix when I was young. I’m happy that Publix is here now but if you want to be competitive with Kroger, you need to show prices in the app. Kroger offers the prices in the app and you can figure out what you’re going to be spending before you go. I was only trying to help Publix because I want them to be a success but they don’t seem to care about my input.
